Superb Lyrebird Original Artwork
Known for it’s mimicking ability and unique tail feathers, I’ve had an idea for this piece in the back of my mind for ages. Then, our neighbour told me he’d seen one in his rainforest gully, and could not have been more excited!
I then spent many hours clambering over rotting logs, sliding down gully walls, and almost waking a sleeping wombat, in search of this elusive bird. I finally spotted a stunning male Lyrebird, and even got a recording his voice!
