King Of The Fairies
Fast Irish music is my absolute favourite to play. Jigs, reels and hornpipes are never far from my repertoire.
I love the feeling of my fingers flying over the strings so fast I don’t have time to think.
King of the Fairies is a traditional Irish hornpipe.

My Harp Journey
Growing up, a friend of mine attended Irish dancing classes. During one of her concerts a pair of harpists came out and I was like “Yep, I want to do that.”
It wasn’t until I was twelve that my mum found a harp teacher and I had my very first lesson.
We rented a harp called Honey (pictured left) from my teacher and I just kept practising!
I started playing at nursing homes and markets, which I absolutely loved, including doing a duet with my grandad on the violin.
When I was fourteen, my parents invested in my very own harp Cherry! (Pictured right)
I continued performing at nursing homes, growing confident with my skill and repertoire.
My courage was tested when I played during a Spring Fair at a small local church, but I was able to pull it off.
During this time, I discovered how much I loved playing irish music, and for me, it was the faster the better. I continued my practise until I become more comfortable playing the more lively songs, including jigs and reels.
A few soundtracks also snuck into my practise, all coming from my favourite movies: How To Train Your Dragon, Harry Potter, and Lord Of The Rings.
I then had a few years off as I focused on my improving my art, and starting my business.
Around March 2025 I sat down again, and started getting my eye (and fingers) back in!
I’m finding so much joy playing the harp again, and am slowly incorparating it into my business, which I would love for it to play a big part in going forward.
Along with adding even more songs to my repertoire, I’ve started playing at nursing homes again which I am enjoying so much.
I have so many ideas for my harp in the future, I can’t wait to make them happen!
